Continuing Education Contact Hours (CECH) Request
Use this application to request continuing nursing education contact hours through ASTNA’s CECH process. The information collected supports compliance with continuing education review and approval requirements. Applications are reviewed by ASTNA’s CECH committee.

Who Should Complete This Application?
- Activity Coordinator (required)
- Planning Committee members (minimum of one additional member required)
- Speakers/Content Experts (for disclosure and off-label requirements)
What You’ll Need to Provide:
- Activity details (title, dates, location, target audience).
- Needs assessment method and brief purpose statement.
- Teaching methods and evaluation plan (learner satisfaction, skills demonstration, post-test, etc.).
- Planning committee and faculty biographical data + conflict of interest disclosures.
- Content outline with measurable objectives and time calculations.
- Commercial support/sponsorship information (if applicable).
Fees
Fees are based on the total number of contact hours requested. Contact hours are calculated by totaling instructional minutes (excluding breaks, lunch, and non-instructional time) and dividing by 60. Activities must be at least 60 minutes to receive contact hours; partial contact hours may be awarded for time beyond 60-minute increments.

Late submissions:
A $100 late fee applies if a late submission is approved by the CECH Coordinator.
